Is 4-wheel drive an option?
At this time 4-wheel drive is not available as a standard option. Due to the complexity of integrating 4-wheel drive into an LSV it is currently cost prohibitive to provide this as a standard option. If you insist on 4-wheel drive, please contact us for a custom build.
How far can SC vehicles travel?
NXT Vehicles feature our 72v SC Power Cube and can travel for approximately 80km on a single charge. Of course, driving conditions and vehicle load will affect exact range.
Our CITY vehicles feature our 60v SC Power Cube and can travel approximately 60km on a single charge.
Can I finance a vehicle?
Yes! Leases are available through a third-party leasing company. Unlike a car lease, these leases are "lease to own", with standard terms being 66 months with a $0 buyout, giving you the ability to get your personal SC Carts' vehicle today without having to put down thousands of dollars up front. Take comfort in knowing you are paying for a vehicle that ultimately YOU will own, not a bank!
Can SC' vehicles tow?
Yes! When equipped with the rear hitch receiver accessory our vehicles are rated at a 1500 lbs towing capacity! (Towing will deplete battery charge faster than standard usage.)
What makes Simolo Customs a Canadian manufacturer?
All vehicles manufactured in Canada are required to comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS). As a Canadian LSV manufacturer, we are required to follow the specific guidelines in order to demonstrate compliance. As such we have been granted the right to affix the National Safety Mark (NSM) by the Minister of Transport. The NSM is a maple-leaf-shaped logo which bears our unique Canadian manufacturer number and is affixed to every single LSV we produce.
Where are Simolo Custom's vehicles made?
SC is proud to be a Canadian manufacturer, using globally sourced parts! In fact, we are the only manufacturer in Canada, in our class, producing fully street legal low-speed vehicles (LSVs)!
We manufacture our vehicles in the heart of the beautiful Okanagan Valley, in Vernon, BC. Every detail, from body assembly, to fabrication & welding, to painting & upholstery is hand crafted by our passionate team of techs and artists!
What are the regulations on using "Made in Canada" branding?
-
the last substantial transformation of the good occurred in Canada;
-
at least 51% of the total direct costs of producing or manufacturing the good have been incurred in Canada; and
-
the "Made in Canada" representation is accompanied by an appropriate qualifying statement, such as "Made in Canada with globally sourced parts"
Where do your parts come from?
We are a Canadian manufacturer, which means we source many of our raw materials from Canadian suppliers, ranging from aluminum, to fabrics, and more. We also use a global supply chain for many components that we cannot produce ourselves, and are not available from suppliers in Canada, such as, but not limited to, motors, differentials, batteries, etc... Countries we source our components from include USA, China, Germany, India, and others.
I saw an identical vehicle at another location or online store. Why?
It's not uncommon to come across vehicles from other brands or manufacturers that bear a striking resemblance to SC models. This similarity is often due to the relationship between Simolo Customs and the factory that produces or supplies our parts. Here's why:
1. Global Suppliers
Simolo Customs works closely with our global suppliers to design and produce components for our vehicles. However, these suppliers may also offer licensing agreements to other companies, allowing them to use a similar design as a template for their own vehicles. As a result, you may encounter vehicles in the market that visually resemble SC models.
2. Beware of Look-Alikes
While these vehicles may appear similar to SC models in terms of their visual design, it's essential to be aware that they may lack the distinctive features, customization options, safety standards, and street-legal certifications that SC guarantees.
3. SC Branding
To ensure the authenticity of an SC vehicle, always look for our specific branding and badges. Our vehicles prominently display SC branding elements that signify their genuine status and quality.
4. Battery Technology
Starting in 2021, all SC vehicles exclusively utilize lithium batteries, providing superior performance and efficiency. Additionally, as of 2023, our vehicles are equipped solely with 60V and 72V battery packs, differentiating them from other offerings in the market.
When you choose an SC vehicle, you're not just investing in its appearance; you're investing in our commitment to customization, safety, and eco-friendliness. Our vehicles undergo rigorous quality control and adhere to stringent standards to ensure you receive a reliable and street-legal mode of transportation that stands out.
If you ever come across vehicles from other brands or manufacturers that resemble SC models, please feel free to reach out to us for verification. We're here to ensure that you receive the exceptional experience and quality that Simolo Customs, as the manufacturer, is renowned for.

What is an LSV?
An LSV (Low-Speed Vehicle) is a class of small, lightweight electric vehicles that was originally introduced to meet the short distance transportation needs of residents in gated communities. LSVs have 4 wheels and drive at a maximum speed of between 32 km/h and 40 km/h.
Are LSV's really street legal?
Yes! If you opt for the LSV upgrade on your vehicle, this will make your build street legal! We equip everything required by Transport Canada to ensure you are completely legal and safe on roads with a speed limit of 50km and under.
Do I need a driver's license to drive an LSV?
Yes. Our street legal LSVs are fully road-worthy vehicles, and a valid driver's license is required to drive them on public roads with a speed limit of 50km/h and under.
How do I insure my LSV for street use?
ICBC and other provincial insurance companies recognize our street legal vehicles as LSVs (low-speed vehicles). When issuing your LSV, it is important to specify this category. For pleasure purposes it is a class 001 and for business it is a class 007. Please avoid using the term "golf cart" when describing your vehicle, as golf carts cannot be insured in most jurisdictions and may confuse the process.
How are NXT vehicles charged?
NXT has a built in charger. This 120v ac charger plugs into a typical wall outlet and takes approximately 5 hours to charge fully from empty.
Can I leave my vehicle charge cord plugged in?
Yes! Thanks to our battery management system, there is no need to worry about affecting the longevity of your battery charging for extended periods of time.
Why does it take several tries to start my vehicle after charging?
Upon disconnecting your vehicle's charger, the battery & charging system takes a moment to double check and verify the integrity of the system and the charge level. This should take roughly 10 seconds, however the vehicle will not start during this time. Nothing is wrong, it's simply a feature for your safety!
How do I put my vehicle into tow / transport mode?
For standard NXT vehicles there is a tow mode switch underneath the seat. Simply switch this on and you are all set to transport your vehicle.
